The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the hill of Ratoath. Archaeological testing (01E0248) (max. D c. 0.9m) by C. McLoughlin encountered a series of features which were thought to be medieval (excavations.ie 2001: 1046) but most of the features contained post-medieval pottery and glass, although medieval deposits may survive at a deeper level.
