The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a level landscape. The site of the parish church of Rathbeggan (ME044-030----) is within a subrectangular graveyard (dims c. 55-65m N-S; c. 25-35m E-W) defined by masonry walls, which has a few 19th century headstones, one of which was thought to be 'old' (IFC Schools MSS, vol. 687, p.252). According to Dopping's visitation (1682-5) the graveyard was enclosed at that time (Ellison 1971, 38). The font (ME044-030002-) is in the graveyard.
