The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise in an undulating landscape. This was described in 1969 (SMR file) as a rectangular grass-covered platform (dims of top 17m E-W; 11m N-S; H 2.3-2.6m) defined by flat-bottomed fosses or moats (Wth of top 12-16m; Wth of base 2m; int. H 2.3-2.4m; ext. D 1-1.2m). An indentation on the lip of the platform at N may indicate an entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
