The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a S-facing slope. Archaeological monitoring (03E0622) in advance of a quarry development identified a mound of fire-cracked stones (dims 6.35m x 3.5m) with two smaller spreads (dims 1.25m x 1.15m; 3.15m x 2.21m) and two pits (dims 2.5m x 1.15m: 2.2m x 1.7m) filled with burnt stone material in the same area. As it was at the edge of the quarry the material was preserved in situ. (Murphy 2003; 2006)
