The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the crest of a N-facing slope. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 50m N-S; c. 42m E-W) that slopes down to the NW. It is defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth of base 9m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.3m) and a rounded fosse (at SE: Wth of base c. 1m; Wth of top 9m; ext. D 1m) that is absent W-N where the bank (Wth of base 9m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 2.1m) barely reses over the interior and the fosse is not visible. There is a large gap (Wth of base 5.6m) at NE that is probably the original entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
