The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the N end of a N-S ridge on the W-facing slope of the N-S Tara ridge. This is a circular grass-covered earthen mound (diam. 10.5m N-S; 13m E-W: H 1m at W to 1.4m at E) growing mature deciduous trees in 1969 (SMR) but these had been removed by 2000 (OSAP).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
