The National Monuments Service's description
Just outside the S wall of the chancel of St Patrick’s parish church (ME036-048012-) is a headstone (H c. 0.6m; Wth c. 0.3m) with an illegible inscription in false relief. It is the headstone of Margaret Boyle and has been described by FitzGerald (1921-5, 74) as: Fixed against the south wall of the ancient chancel is a headstone bearing this inscription: HERE LY / ETH THE BOD / Y OF MARGARET / BOYLE ALIAS PO /VGE WIFE TO MIC / HAEL BOYLE OF / TRIM WHO DEPAR / TED THIS LIFE T / HE FIRST DAY OF A / VGVST IN THE YEA / R OF OUR LORD / GOD 1731 AGED - / YEARS
