The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise in a fairly level landscape. This is a raised and slightly dished, grass-covered, circular area (diam. 35.5m E-W; 33m N-S) defined by slight traces of an earthen bank (at ENE: Wth of base 6.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 2.3m) planted with deciduous trees, a wide outer fosse (Wth of top 8m at ENE to 13.5m at WSE; ext. D 0.5m at ENE to 1m at WSW), and a broad outer bank (at WSW: Wth of base 12m; Wth of top 2.5m; ext. H 0.8m) SE-W-NW. The entrance (Wth of base 3m) and traces of causeway (Wth of top 3m; H 0.3m) are at E.
