The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a ridge in a fairly level landscape. This is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 30.5m NNW-SSE; 30.5m ENE-WSW) defined by a scarp (Wth 1-2m; H 0.7-1.1m) with a berm (Wth 1-4m) separating it from a second scarp (Wth 1-2m; H 0.5-1.9m) that is replaced by a field bank ENE-S. The original entrance is not identified and there are bushes on both scarps.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
