The National Monuments Service's description
Tradition of site of burial of two Cromwellian soldiers marked by two stones in the middle of the field. Cromwellian soldiers occupied nearby Bellewstown castle during the Siege of Drogheda in 1649(pers. comm. Mr Colin Byrne, Briarleas, County Meath).
