The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in the flood-plain of a NW-SE section of the River Boyne, on the S bank. A mill-race (L c. 140m; Wth 3.5m; D 0.5m) runs W-E, curving to the N at its E end until it meets the river. At its W end it is overlain by the tow-path of the canal. About 40m from its W end a subrectangular mound (dims c. 6m N-S; c. 6m E-W; H 0.35m) on its N bank has a wall-footing (Wth 0.65m; L 2.2m) on its W side and probably represents the remains of the mill building. The S face of the mill-race is also stone-faced at this point.
