The National Monuments Service's description

This monument was located 'just west of the cul-de-sac leading from the Dowth road to Ballincrad weir'; it was destroyed about the turn of the century. (O'Kelly 1978, 59)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
