The National Monuments Service's description

Situated some 500m SE of passage tomb mound (ME019-045----) at Newgrange. Mound c. 25m in diam., nearly 6m high, listed as possible passage-tomb (Herity 1974, 247). Surrounded by but not centrally placed within bank (ME019-049002-) (O'Kelly 1978, 49-50).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
