The National Monuments Service's description
Five concentrations of Beaker pottery, part of Eogan’s Phase 5 – Final Neolithic / Beaker complex dating to c. 2500 – c. 2200 BC (Eogan and Cleary 2017, 42) are recorded around Tomb 1C. This is within Concentration E, which is a rectangular area (dims 16.5m NE-SW; 10m NW-SE) between the great mound and Tomb 2. Seven stake-holes formed a small triangular structure (dims 4.5m E-W; 2.7m N-S) against the kerb of the great mound but the Beaker pottery came from outside it to the E. (Eogan and Roche 1997, 241-3)
