The National Monuments Service's description
Built into the E face of the W pier of an ornamental arch, c. 2m off the ground. This is a piece of sandstone (Wth 0.41m; H 0.31m) with a series of four concentric incised circles and a central dot (diam. 0.15m). (Eogan 2011, 10-12)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
