From Bradley and King (1985, 1, 81) On the W wall of the church tower. Rectangular chamfered limestone plaque (Wth 0.64m; H 0.5m) with an incised inscription in roman lettering: This wyndowe / was builded bi Ri / chared [Fl] ou [d]I, of / Kenlis merchau / nt the 1[2] of iuli / 1578 whose soule / God take to his / mercies. (Cogan 1862-70, vol. 1, 204; FitzGerald 1898-1900, 4, 456)
