From Bradley and King (1985, 1, 80) Effigial slab. 14th century: Sandstone. Coffin-shaped (Wth 0.39-0.62; H 1.89m; T 0.16m), at the west end of the church. Crucifixion in relief with Mary and John; two civilians separated by the tree of life below. The lady, on the right, wears a wimple and veil, a long robe and mantle held across her breast with a chain. Her hands are joined and her feet, in pointed shoes, rest on flowers. The male is dressed in a pleated gown with tight sleeves and lappets. He has short hair and his head rests on a rectangular cushion, he hold s book and also wears pointed shoes (Hunt 1974, 206, No. 188). This was against the S wall of the church tower, but is now in the church.
