The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a rise towards the bottom of the N-facing slope of the Hill of Lloyd. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 44.5m ENE-WSW; 30.5m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank (at SSW: Wth of base 6.5m int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.8m) S-W-NNE that is reduced to a scarp (at NNE: Wth 4m; H 1m) elsewhere. There are slight traces of a fosse at NNW but it is largely represented by a berm (Wth 3-4m). The original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
