The National Monuments Service's description

This sandstone erratic is embedded in the ground on at the crest of a SW-facing slope of Carnbane East, and has been fully recorded by Shee Twohig (et al. 2010, 11). The carved surface (dims 1.2m x 0.6m) slopes upwards to the NE and has a weathered cupmark and shallow arcs of a circle.
