The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a broad rise at the S foothills of the Lough Crew Hills. This is a conglomerate stone with a rectangular cross-section (dims of base 1-1,1m NNW-SSE; 0.7-0.8m ENE-WSW; max. H 1.8m at NW) and a fairly flat top.
