The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small NNE-SSW ridge in an undulating low-lying landscape. This is a circular and slightly domed grass-covered area (diam. of base 17.5m NNE-SSW; 16.5m WNW-ESE; diam. of top 12.5m NNE-SSW; H 0.5-0.6m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 4.5-6m; Wth of base 1-1.5m; ext. D 0.7m) from an outer bank (Wth of base 3.5-4m; ext. H 0.5-0.6m). Visible evidence of the monument had been removed by 1995 (OSAP).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
