The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise in a low-lying undulating landscape. This is an oval or D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 29m NE-SW; c. 17m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 6m; ext. int. H 0.2-0.3m; H 0.6-0.7m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but there is a possible hut-site inside the perimeter at SW visible as a circular grass-covered platform (diam. of top 11m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 0.3-0.7m). The bank of the rath and the hut-site are cut by a NE-SW road bank at NW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
