The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a rise in an undulating landscape. This is a subcircular grass-covered but undulating area (dims 42m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by a scarp (at E: Wth 2m; H 1.1m) with bushes incorporated into a field bank and hedge SSE-W-N. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
