The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the crest of a steep NW-facing slope on the summit of a NE-SW ridge that has slightly higher ground c. 300m to the SW and NE. This is not depicted on any map but is known locally as a church (SMR file). It is a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 21m N-S; 16m E-W) defined by slight scarps (max. H 0.5m) that is accommodated by a niche in the field bank on the W side. The foundations of a small structure (dims 7m E-W; 5m N-S) defined by slight earthen banks is at the centre.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
