The National Monuments Service's description

Located on top of and at the S end of a NNE-SSW ridge. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 38.8m N-S; 37m E-W) defined by a scarp (at N: Wth 4m; H 1.2m; at S: Wth 4m; H 1.8m), with evidence of a bank (int. H 0.6m) at W. There is a raised ramp entrance (Wth of top 2.6m) at NW which might not be original as there is also a poorly defined break in the scarp at SSE, which is the lowest point of the interior and is more likely to be original. There is evidence of ancient quarrying in the NE and central parts of the interior.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
