Situated on the S side of the road from a field known as the Chapel Field, for which see this web-page accessed on 12/10/2018: http://www.meathfieldnames.com The grass-covered foundations of a rectangular structure (int. dims 14.1m E-W; 3.92m N-S) defined by double-faced walls (Wth 0.58-0.65m; max. H 0.3m) has an entrance (Wth 0.55m) towards the W end of the S wall. The N wall opposite the entrance is removed and the W wall is provided by a N-S field wall. There is no evidence of an enclosure or burial. It may be a penal chapel, said locally to have been founded by a Lady Plunkett.
