The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a col between a high summit to the SW and a smaller hill c. 400m to the N but with lower ground opening out the NE. This is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 33m NW-SE; 30m NW-SE) that slopes down to the SE (H 1.4m). It is defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth of base 6.7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. 3.2m) with some bushes that is incorporated into a N-S field bank (at NW: Wth of base 6m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 2m) with an outer stone-facing and an outer fosse (at NW: Wth of base 5m; ext. D 0.55m) SW-NW. The entrance (Wth of base 2.4m) is at E.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
