The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a gentle N-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 32.75m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (at NE: Wth of base 8m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.5m) that is largely reduced to a scarp (at SW: H 0.9m) and an outer fosse (Wth of top 8.5-10m; ext. D 0.3-0.4m). The original entrance is not identified. The perimeter at SE is slightly truncated by a NE-SW field bank. Rath (ME009-063----) is c. 40m to the S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
