The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a NW-facing slope. A cairn, described as circular (diam. 16.5m N-S; 15.5m E-W; H 2m) and composed of relatively small stones was disturbed in 1961 when a short length of drystone walling was revealed. This was supporting a lintel at the centre pf the cairn (NMI file). The cairn is still extant but open at the S, with the drystone walling (L 2.2m; T 0.6m; H 0.35m) aligned NNE-SSW and the lintel visible. Some kerbstones are visible at SE and SW. Archaeological testing (11E0123) by D. Finn c. 150m to the W produced no related material (excavations.ie 2011:477).
