The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a rise in an undulating landscape with a S-N section of a drain immediately to the E. This is a raised, circular and grass-covered platform (diam. 29m NNW-SSE) planted with deciduous trees. It is defined by a scarp (H 2.3-2.5m) and a fosse (at NNW: Wth of top 8.5m; Wth of base 3m; ext. D 0.6m) that morphs into a berm (at SSE: Wth 3m) defined by a scarp (at SSE: H 1.4m) for most of its extent. There is an outer bank (at NNW: Wth of base 5m; ext. H 0.4m) or field bank SSE-W-NE. The original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
