The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the summit of a hillock. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 28.5m WNW-ESE; 26m NNE-SSW) defined by a scarp (Wth 2.5-3.5m; H 0.8m), and traces of an outer fosse. The original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
