The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the crest of the S-facing slope at the tip of a NW-SE spur and c. 65m S of Cruicetown House. The parch mark of an arc of an earthen bank (Chord c. 50m S-W) is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP: AVG 94) with a second outer parch mark (Chord c. 120m S-W) is also visible but they could relates to landscaping associated with the house.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
