The National Monuments Service's description

Located towards the top of a N and W-facing slope with the valley of a small E-W stream c. 85m to the N. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 40m N-S) that slopes down to the N (H 1.8m). It is defined by an earthen bank (at S: Wth of base 9.5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.5m; at N: Wth of base 5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.45m) and hedge with an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.8-5.8m; Wth of base 0.7m at S to 3.5m at N). There is a slight outer bank (at N: Wth of base 2m; ext. H 0.1m) W-N-E. There is an entrance (Wth of base 1.8m) but no causeway at SSE but the original entrance (Wth of base 2.2m), now blocked, and causeway (Wth of top 2.4m; H 0.5m) are at NNW.
