The National Monuments Service's description

Situated just SE of the summit of a drumlin. This is a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 33m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 6-7m; int. H 0.7-1m; ext. H 3.2m) and hedge separated by a fosse (Wth of top 8-8.5m; Wth of base 2m; ext. D 2m) from an outer earthen bank (Wth of base 3-4m; ext. H 1m) that is incorporated into a field bank and hedge (max. ext. diam. 53m NE-SW). The entrance (Wth of base 3m) is at SE. It remains unplanted in a forest (Digitalglobe).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
