The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the S end of a small S-N spur that rises from a N-facing slope. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 33m NNW-SSE; c. 18m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at NNW: Wth of base 5.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2m) and hedge NW-NNE that is absent NE-SE where the monument is conjoined with (ME002-026001-). The bank morphs into a field bank (Wth of base 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8m) SE-SW, and the monument is defined by la sunken lane (Wth of base 2.5-3m; ext. D 0.5-1.5m; int. D 2-2.5m) SW-N-NE that is probably on the site of an original fosse, which is not otherwise evident. The original entrance is not identified.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
