Located on a rise towards the W end of an E-W ridge. This is a raised circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 38m N-S; 36m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth of base 6-8m; int. H 0.7-0.9m; ext. H 3-3.6m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 7-8.7m; Wth of base 2m; ext. D 1-1.5m) from an overgrown outer bank (at N: Wth of base 8.5m; ext. H 1.8m), which in places becomes a wide berm (at S: Wth 4m) with a slight bank (at S: Wth 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.8m) on its outer edge. The entrance through both the inner (Wth of base 2m) and outer (Wth of base 3.1m) banks with a causeway (Wth of top 3m; H 0.8m) across the fosse is at E (max. ext. diam. 70m E-W). Rath (ME002-013----) is c. 180m to the E and the possible rath (ME002-023----) is c. 90m to the W.
