The National Monuments Service's description
On S edge of extensive area of scrub, built on rock outcrop. This tower house is a national monument (no. 244) in state care. Two-storey remains of rectangular tower (8m N-S; 9.6m E-W). Entered through rebuilt ground-floor door in E wall. Lobby gives access to guard room to S; main chamber to W; doorway to N leading to spiral stairs. Main chamber contains three deep embrasures, with narrow windows. Little remains of 1st-floor.
