The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating pasture, at W end of ridge. Circular area (32.5m N-S; 31m E-W), enclosed by substantial cashel wall (H 2.2m; Wth 2.5m); inner earthen bank, deep fosse and external earthen bank. Inner bank (H 0.3m) scarped on exterior, slopes sharply to fosse base (D 3.3m). Outer bank (ext. H 10m; circ. 202m) has steep terracing SSE to NW as it descends to ground level. Entrance with causeway (Wth 4.4m) interrupts fosse on ESE.
