The National Monuments Service's description
In a rath (MA118-093001-). This drystone souterrain extends from the inner bank of the rath at WNW through the NW quadrant. When inspected in 1980 it was found to have suffered considerable disturbance, with some of the lintels removed and broken up. The in situ lintels of a passage were still visible in the edge of a circular disturbance depression in the inner bank at WNW (SMR file). When inspected in 1990 the souterrain was inaccessible (Lavelle 1994, 73, no. 538).
