The National Monuments Service's description
Located in poorly drained rush-grown pasture. Ground falls away gradually to S to the Robe River.
Fully excavated (98E0389) in 1998 in advance of the construction by Mayo County Council of a sewage treatment works at this location, this complex of features consisted of a number of shallow hollows (max. dim. c. 2m) in the subsoil, which were filled with charcoal-stained or flecked silty clay. Several pieces of worked chert, and some flint and quartz were recovered. The lithics indicate prehistoric activity, probably Bronze Age in date. Three fulachtai fia (MA111-094001-; MA111-094002-; MA111-094003-) were located c. 80m to E. (Gillespie 1998, no. 484)
