The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located adjacent to a SE-flowing stream/drain in a small valley. There is damp boggy ground on the N side of the stream.
A layer of angular stone fragments in black soil is exposed in the W terminal of a field bank than lines the S bank of a stream gully (Wth 4m). It was not possible to determine the extent of the layer, or whether it is in situ, or merely represents displaced material incorporated onto the field bank. On the opposite bank of the river, a thin lens of dark soil is exposed in section beneath the sod. Possibly the remains of a destroyed fulacht fia. Dredging of the stream has taken place and heaps of upcast material line the N bank of the stream.
