The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a NE-facing slope on a NW–SE ridge. The spine of the ridge restricts views to SE but there are extensive views to N–NE.
Shown on the 1916 OS 6-inch map as a broadly oval enclosure (c. 45-50m N–S; c. 55-60m E–W), incorporated into a field fence at N–SE which respects the curve of the enclosure. This rath has been levelled. The N–SE curve of the property fence preserves the outline of the E side of the rath but no other evidence of the rath is visible at ground level. It was constructed on a slope, and the interior area appears to have encompassed a relatively level area at S–SW from which ground slopes down to NE. Another rath (MA102-039----), also levelled, lies 8m to SSW.
