The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on fairly level terrace on a SE-facing slope, just below the top of a ridge. The slope rises gently to NW and falls away steeply to S giving expansive views over pasture and expanses of bog.
Not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; shown on the 1916 edition as a subrectangular hachured enclosure incorporated into a field boundary at NW−N.
Raised subrectangular or oblong area (47m NE–SW; 25m NW–SE), with rounded corners, defined by a scarp (H 0.9 at SW; 1.4m at SE). A few large stones protrude from the sod on the scarp slope at SE and SW –some of these may be field clearance stones. The scarp on the SE side is sharply defined and is slightly indented or concave in plan; it has clearly been modified and cut into in the past. On the NW side the scarp has been partly levelled, surviving only as a low rise. A field boundary (shown on the 1916 OS 6-inch map) which intersected with the N end of the enclosure has been removed.
The interior is grassy and featureless, with a slight slope from centre down to NE. This is an enclosure is unusually elongated in shape; it may be a rath that has been extended or modified.
There is a souterrain (MA102-064----) c. 45m to S.
