The National Monuments Service's description

In the NW part of Clare Lough. This possible crannog is visible as a small densely wooded island. In the early 1980’s ‘the ends of wooden beams’ were noted protruding from the edge of the island, and a quern stone was found here (pers. comm. John Coakley, 2021).
