The National Monuments Service's description
On NW shore of Lough Carra joining Mearing Island to mainland. Stone causeway (L 15m NW-SE; Wth 1.5m), partly submerged, rests on lake bed and extends to island. No habitation features on island. Causeway may be of recent construction.
