Children's burial ground

Located in the E half of an ecclesiastical enclosure (MA093-014001-) which also encloses a ringfort (MA093-014005-).
This children’s burial ground is known locally as the ‘Caldragh’. A roughly trapezoidal area (32.2m NE–SW; 28.7m NW–SE at NE end, 35m at SW end) defined on NE side by a stone bank/wall footings (2.30m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.5m), on SE by a scarp (1.2m) cut into the natural slope, on SW by a low stony rise or scarp. To NW the enclosing element is barely discernible.
Traces of an internal division on a NW–SE axis can be seen in the SW of the interior. Located to NE of centre, there is a low sod-covered rise (c. 3m N–S; 2m E-W; H 0.2m) possibly a grave. To N of this a number of ephemeral parallel linear rises, on a NW–SE axis can be seen traversing the interior. Along the line of the SW enclosing wall, there is a concentration of stones, some prostrate, some protruding upright from the sod, including a single, crudely cross-shaped stone (H 0.43m; Wth of arms 0.4m; T 0.08m). A bullaun stone (MA093-014003-) is incorporated into the N end this wall.
