The National Monuments Service's description
Located in the SW quadrant of a rath (MA093-001001-).
The souterrain, which extends on a roughly NW−SE axis, is partly collapsed and is obscured by a thicket of blackthorn. A collapsed passage/chamber is evident as a grassed-over oval depression (L 5.4m NW–SE; Wth 2.2m NE–SW; D 0.6m). At its NW end there is a short intact length of passage or creep (Wth 0.7m) roofed by two lintels, which connects with another length of passage (L c. 4.8m NNW–SSE; Wth 1.2m), also collapsed and robbed of roof lintels. At the NNW end of the latter, is an opening (Wth 0.8m; H 0.8m) into an intact stone-built chamber/passage (Wth c. 1.4m; H c. 1m) roofed with lintels. This chamber extends to N but could not be examined in detail. A ruined field wall crosses the W edge of the souterrain.
