The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a prominent rise with good views over an expanse of lowlying, wettish pasture to SW–W. Undulating terrain to N–NE rises to a gentle ridge. A farmstead lies immediately to E–SE.
This rath has been partly levelled. It survives as a broadly oval area (42.8m NW-SE; 38m NE-SW) defined by a levelled bank/scarp (Wth c. 3m; H 0.2) which remains distinct at NE–E and S–NW. Outside the scarp on the W half there are traces of a fosse and external bank. The fosse (Wth 2.5m) is clearly defined S–W but is reduced to a slight depression W–N. The external bank (Wth 2.5-3m; int. H 0.8m) can be traced at SSW−W, merging with a broad external slump/fall in ground level (Wth 5.5-6m; H 2.5m). A slight terrace (Wth c. 3m) outside the rath scarp at NE–E probably also preserves the original curve of the fosse and external bank. A farm shed abuts the rath scarp at SE edge of the rath, overlying the fosse and outer bank.
The central and E sectors of the interior are level, but there is a marked fall of ground from centre to S and W. A field wall, on a NW−SE axis, crosses the interior to NE of centre.
