The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a low elevation in gently rolling terrain, with good views generally.
Raised earthen platform (29.2m N–S; 28m E–W) defined by a scarp (H 1.7m at W, 1.5m at E). The scarp is well defined, with much angular stone protruding on the W arc. At the foot of the scarp the rath is encircled by a cropmark/ band (Wth c. 2m) of higher, greener grass, clearest on the NE arc, which may be evidence of an infilled external fosse. There is a sloping gap (W 1m) in the scarp at NE and a broad, slumped gap (Wth 3.2m) at SSW. In the interior, slight surface linear features on a NNE-SSW may be remnants of cultivation ridges. Grass cover, with a few hawthorn trees around the perimeter.
