The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a low NW–SE ridge between Culleentragh Lough, which is c. 230m to W and Derrykin Lough, which is c. 120m to E.
Broadly oval platform (44m E-W; 49.5m N–S) defined by a scarp (H 1.5m at E, 3.5m at W, 2.7m at N, 1m at S). The enclosing scarp presents a fairly vertical external face, with traces of stone facing in parts, especially at SE–S, suggesting relatively recent modification of the rath. The marked height of the scarp at W is related to a trackway, which skirts the rath at S–NW. The trackway is 2m wide at S–SW, increasing to 4m at W. The rath interior is level, except for a slight dip to NE of centre. There are several narrow gaps eroded by farm stock. The original entrance may have been at SSE where the scarp is lowest and there is a sloping gap (Wth 2m). The external face of the scarp flanking the entrance is faced with stone, but this may be a relatively late addition. The rath interior is grassy; the perimeter is ringed with hawthorn and sycamore trees.
